AIM Provides Grants & Scholarships For High Academic Achievers

Here are tips on putting together an A-plus scholarship application
You should gather the items you’ll need to apply. After applying you will be asked to send some or all of the following:

- High school transcript
- Scholarship Application Form
- Parents' financial information, e,g a pay stub (outside the US) or tax returns (US)
- Essays
- Two letters of recommendation
- Proof of eligibility for the scholarship (for example, proof of passes and membership in certain clubs/associations)
- You will also need to prepare for an interview.

STEPS IN THE PROCESS
Attend The Scholarship Opportunity Information Session
You may be able to use a grant or scholarship to help pay for college. Attend a College Scholarship Opportunity Information Session being hosted this week. You may attend one of the sessions held Mondays - Fridays week days at 3:00 PM EST. You will need a phone or computer device with internet connection to join our online video conferencing.
Learn how you may be eligible for scholarships, about financial aids from the government, and find out how to apply. Many students also use financial aid awarded by the government to cover college costs. While AIM's scholarships are for outstanding academic scholars, government scholarships are not just for academic superstars.
The Basics on Grants and Scholarships: Criteria
- Criteria 1: Attend the Information Seminar to learn about the AIM's programs and High Achievers Scholarships And Awards targeting students who excel in SAT, CSEC, IGCE, GCE and CAPE Examinations.
- Criteria 2: If you wish to proceed, apply for college. Complete the Admission Application Form, and pay the $30 application fee
- Criteria 3: Submit the Scholarship And Bursary Application Form and submit copies of your qualifications to meet the criteria for high-achievers.
- Criteria 4: Complete the placement test. Your results must fall within the higher echelon of the test results (historically).
Next Steps: The Interview And Notice Of Scholarship Award or Denial:
1) AIM's Scholarship Board will review your application.
2) You will be invited for an interview which will be conducted via Zoom Video conferencing.
3) You will receive notification on the approval or denial of your application for scholarships within within 1 - 2 weeks of the interview. The judgement of the board is based on the quality of your application, results on the placement test, quality of interview, and more broadly, the results for students in the general population who entered the qualifying examinations such as CAPE, SAT, IGCE and GCE in the year of your application.
