ACCREDITATION AND RECOGNITION
UNITED KINGDOM
AIM University Group is accredited by The Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC). BTEC is approved by OFQUAL and QCA as an awarding body in the United Kingdom and has global reach and recognition for it's suite of graduate and undergraduate programs. The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England. Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) maintains and develops the national curriculum and associated assessments, tests and examinations; and accredits and monitors qualifications in colleges and at work.
JAMAICA
The University Council Of Jamaica has reviewed the Level 5 Higher National Diploma for learners in Jamaica and determined that this is comparable to 60 Credits and equivalent to the Associate Degree in Jamaica.
UNITED STATES AND CANADA
World Education Services (WES) reviewed the Level 5 Higher National Diploma as 60 Credits towards the bachelor’s degree. That is, 'two years of undergraduate' and the BTEC Level 7 Professionals as equivalent to 'Graduate Certificates’. That is, one year of the master’s degree. WES is used by nearly all US and Canadian Universities and Government Agencies for assessing foreign credentials and determining their equivalency to US and Canadian programs.
GLOBALLY RECOGNIZED
The International Education Research Foundation (IERF) produced recommendations on BTEC equivalency to U.S. degree-level programs. Students with BTEC HND qualifications may be entitled to the following credit exemptions from U.S. degree-level programs: 'Equivalent to up to 60 semester credits. Modules have values of 6 or 1, so approximately 4 credits and ½ credit, respectively.
